From 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, Riley Park and participating merchants were buzzing with laughter, excitement, and the sweet sound of raffle tickets being earned.

“One boutique reported 500 trips counted through the front door, a 20% increase in foot traffic. An adjacent boutique reported record crowds, with many new faces in their 35-year-old shop. Our bookstore loved the trips generated. Businesses that offer services (less traffic at these events) reported that scavenger hunters came through their door and ‘found’ their business. Comments overheard included, ‘I never knew there was a ____ store in my downtown,’ and ‘I’ve always wondered about this store, but had never been in.’ The scavenger hunt was a reason to cross the threshold for many small businesses. AH handled all the work, staffed the event, and collected data from happy shoppers.”
