Honestly, I didn’t know what I was walking into with BrillianceQuest. A friend invited me and said it involved puzzles, but it ended up being so much more. It was held in this intimate space and right from the first clue, I was hooked. The mix of mystery, team-solving, and personal reflection was unlike anything I’ve done. There were moments where we were deep in thought, and others where we were laughing like crazy trying to figure things out. I left feeling surprisingly energized and… kind of powerful? Highly recommend if you’re into puzzles and personal growth.

To begin, I am not a game person. My first experience was a bridal shower scavenger hunt. I couldn’t imagine
how that could be done at a banquet hall. I dove in and watched everyone participating, competing and having fun. I saw shoppers engage in the bustle and competition of finding clues visiting different businesses during Farmington’s Ladies Night Out. I’ve seen children engage in these scavenger hunts and they love it. If you need an activity to make a gathering interactive, different and special, Next Clue won’t disappoint. It’s a lot of fun!

I was touched at one point when we all complimented each other (part of the scavenger hunt), and I was surprised to see one of my friends come to tears from the compliment. This was a testament to just how much that compliment meant to her and that perhaps someone touched on a subject that’s been weighing heavily on her. I was moved by the moment and almost started crying myself! Also loved the pictures requested along the way and have some pretty hilarious photos of my friends and I that we can cherish for time to come. We all laughed so hard that day and the days after too! I also loved one part where we all shared things off our bucket lists. We all agreed we haven’t spent much time focusing on our bucket lists since kids and it reminded us that we need to reassess our bucket lists and put some thought into those. Also I loved how one of my friends used the bucket list to also include an emotional/social goal in life, not just activities, which really hit me and I found interesting and insightful! I also plan to do the same for myself now! Just very interesting hearing everyone’s input, so we can help build them up and help them reach their goals and also so we can begin to chase our own goals, as well as ponder what new ones we may have for the future! So wonderful!

I’ve thrown many murder mysteries, baby showers, and other parties that involve print and play type activities. This one is by far my favorite – simple and easy to set up, and the stress of “oh no one person can’t make it!” Isn’t a factor! Brilliance Quest had fun puzzles, real moments to connect with each other, and a satisfying competitive aspect to it that doesn’t leave anyone out. I’d recommend it to anyone who is looking to level up their party or even small get together (I had six people total!).
